Plastron

Plastron must be the most technical client I have worked for! They provide research facilities and training for the UK’s flourishing space industry.

When the client came to me they had a brand already in place. Taking this brand with its distinctive typeface and strong orange, I developed a detailed website based on a clean orange and white palette to reflect the company’s offering of precise clean rooms. The website allowed the board members to demonstrate the company’s capabilities when visiting various potential investors, helping them to successfully obtain much needed funding.

The clean orange and white palette with the distinctive typeface was used throughout to reflect the company’s precise, future-looking ethos. The graphical element used within the site’s design represented the plastron, which is part of a tortoise or turtle’s shell.
Very technical information was presented in a clear, easy-to-understand structure.
The client used the website as reassurance of their capabilities and ambitions when visiting investors.
A blog allowed the client to report and comment on activities in an ever-changing industry.
