Surf Shack Spa is a hot tub, sauna and spa area in the heart of Bournemouth, available for private hire. Its primary market is hen parties and birthday celebrations of up to 24 people. The client had a very basic Squarespace website before, which did not allow any online bookings. This meant that the client had to take telephone bookings only, requiring a large investment of time, and potential bookings easily being missed. With a large potential market being through third party companies organising hen parties, and their requirement for an availability calendar and online bookings, it meant there was a large potential market the client was not tapping into.

I went right back to basics for this website, completely rewriting and restructuring the website, building it on a WordPress platform. This allowed me to also integrate a third party booking system, dedicated to this sort of activity. The result is a website which helps the client generate more business. Third-party companies are now able to check availability and book directly, even benefiting from any relevant discount codes if necessary.
